Charlie Godwin wins $620,000 in the WPT Online
Most poker players dream of playing up to the $100,000 super high roller event with a $109 satellite ticket and then winning more than half a million USD in the end – that’s what Charlie Godwin managed to do. She took the arduous journey and was rewarded. It also proved that anything is possible in online poker and that you can win good money even if you have a little stake. It’s not a “Chris Moneymaker Story,” but it’s almost as good as that.

Nobody expected partypoker’s VIP manager Charlie Godwin to achieve this feat. In the end, she had to admit defeat to two professionals Michael Addamo and Isaac Haxton. She earned the third place, and a cash prize of $620,000 which is surely a good consolation.

In the end, it was Michael Addamo who defeated Isaax Haxton heads up to win $1,284,000 as prize money, but of course, it was only Godwin’s incredible run that was the main topic in the poker community. Whether the VIP manager, who is now popular in the scene, will continue to work after this great success is not yet certain.
