The name Devilfish will forever remain as part of the poker scene

Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott was undoubtedly one of the biggest and most special characters in the poker scene and he will remain immortal. The Briton died on 6 April 2015 with just 61 years of cancer.

Devilfish was was not only one of the funniest and most entertaining players in the game, he also won a WSOP bracelet, a WPT title, and earned a total of $ 6,235,521 in prize money during his impressive poker career. He is one of the best english poker players.

Legendary is the Story how he won his WSOP bracelet. In the 1997 WSOP, he lost $ 200,000 in a short time, as well as another $ 20,000 what he had borrowed after his losses. With difficulty, he was able to scrape together another $ 2,000 and started at the Pot Limit Texas Hold’em Event.

He came into the heads-up against Chris Truby. On the final hand, he went all-in with a flush and open-ended straight-draw and completed his straight (on the river) to take home $ 180,310 and his first WSOP bracelet. Typical Devilfish!
