Gaming Control Board Announced That Gaming Legalization Begin On July 15
For a while now, poker connoisseurs in Pennsylvania, USA have been able to use PCs and mobile devices to play poker legally. According to an announcement made by the executive director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the launch of online poker and its legalization will hold on July 15, 2019. Poker players will get access to some excellent poker sites and also to sports bets that will be made available during the opening day. In a recent press meeting, O’Toole stated that providing the access to online gambling is a “key component” of the state’s gaming plan.
It should be noted that Pennsylvania is the 4th State that will be joining Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey as the first set of states that allows its residents to play online poker games for real money. It will take approx. 90 days for the state authorities to complete all the necessary process required to launch the online platform.
Since October 2017 when the legislation that allows online poker was signed into law by Pennsylvania’s Governor, the state’s top casinos got an opportunity to form partnerships with key online poker operators. However, PokerStars and partypoker are already among the seven licenced platform that was issued to poker providers
Pennsylvania State is the 6th most populous state according to the most recent official U.S. data. Accordingly, there is a great opportunity for a successful start for online poker. If everything works as planned, Pennsylvania will get a chance to join the Multi-State Internet Gaming Association that allows states to move the players into one common player pool.
