Is it possible to play the variant All-In or is Fold(AoF) profitable?
The All-In or Fold variant is something very special and it is now offered in the gg network. We took a closer look at this variant and also talked to some experienced players who tested this variant for us.
The principle in the All-In or Fold says the name, there are only two possibilities:
- You put all chips in the middle
- You lay down your hand(Fold)
The all-in or fold tables have a maximum of 4 players and each player has to buy-in with 4-8 big blinds at the table. Every player has to bet the blinds clockwise and the action starts. As soon as at least two players have gone all-in, the flop, turn and river are dealt directly after each other. The hand ranking is exactly the same as with the normal Texas Holdem.
Currently, the following limits exist:

At the Hold’em tables, you can find some action on all limits; in Omaha, only up to 1/2$ blind tables are available. As mentioned above, each player buy-in with 4-8 big blinds. The action here is unbelievably high because the blinds will kill you if you play too tight.
Moreover, the famous saying that all players are with 50-60% of their hands’ all-in is nothing unusual. In normal Texas No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha you would call a player crazy if he played too many hands, but not in All-In or Fold. Tight players have no chance here, and you have to do some action and observe your opponents, especially if you are first in the game. You should also depend on your position at the table and push a minimum of 60% of your all-in hands.
This type of game is, of course, a rake machine and because the players always partake in the game, lots of rakes are generated. Importantly, the gg network evaluates 100% of the actual rake generated, and it does not use the PVI model as you know from the regular cash game tables.
Important: You also have to know that for every hand played, a few cent jackpot fee will be deducted directly from the pot. The jackpot is paid out when you get a straight flush or a royal flush. And of course, with so many hands played, all going to the showdown, this happens more often than in standard cash games.
The rakeback is the key for success
The variant is due to the high rake. It is necessary to note that despite the jackpots you get on the mass, it is not beatable. You have to have an incredible run to play the variant with a plus. If you play a break even, you are the hero.
The rakeback deal is the key if you want to make a profit here. Additionally, there is already the fish buffet rakeback program, which is the same for all GG network sites. A first deposit bonus is available on these sites, which is always very useful.
Furthermore, the regular rakeback program is incredibly essential, but it is complicated to calculate. The random number generator can stay at a higher and lower percentage level.

The variance and the swings are terrible
If you decide to play this variant to make money, you have to have a healthy bankroll first. Nevertheless, if you think Spin & Go Jackpot tournaments are swingy, then you have never played the All-In or Fold. 200-300 buy-ins are quite possible; it is not unusual when things are going badly and if you hit no jackpot. You need to have the right mindset and relaxed bankroll management. If you do not have that, do not play this variant.
