The GG network is now quietly and secretly introducing PVI to the popular Spin & Gold / Jackpot tournaments
PVI affects now also the Spin & Gold SNG tournaments in the GGPoker network as we found out today. Like so often we did not receive any notification about it and had no possibility to inform our community. It was really a coincidence that we found it out today
With yesterday’s major software update (April 27, 2020) from the GG network, PVI was also introduced at the Spin & Gold tournaments. For us as well as for the skins of the GG network and the players, very bad news.
The usual problem with models like PVI is simply that it is not transparent and that the poker room and affiliates have no control over it and are definitely disadvantaged. However, we have raised this issue many times and even if we address it 100 times, it will not change. There are different opinions and perspectives on this subject, but anyway, it’s the way it is and you have to accept it if you want to play at GG.
As for the GG network, there are a lot of advantages and positive arguments to play there, but PVI is definitely not one of them.
Statement regarding PVI at the Spin&Gold SNG:
PVI is applied to Spin&Go since Apr 27 maintenance. Spin&Go PVI is evaluated relatively between players as well as the other games.
There is a new factor applied for Spin & Gold. We have introduced new field EVWinloss, and PVI is calculated based on it. EVWinloss is expected win-loss regardless of the multiplier. With it, players skill is more clearly evaluated without luck factor. (e.g, players who were lucky to have high multiplier wouldn’t drop PVI)
Despite PVI, a lot of rakeback at the Spin & Gold SNG
Of course, all players continue to participate in the normal Fish Buffet Rakeback program, and in addition, there are still the popular Gold Missions, which bring a lot of extra rakeback again.
