The online poker community fights together to protect players from bots

A few days ago PartyPoker and Bwin made public that 277 bots was banned and $734,852.15 was refunded to all players. Now also Americas Cardroom refunded 4,001 players for a total of $175,728.80.

Some people always try to cheat and to get money from other players. The poker sites do their best to protect all players and bots have almost no chance anymore. If we count all refunds from Party/Bwin and from the WinningPoker Network, then nearly 1 million was returned to the poker community because of banned bots.

Even if it is possible to beat bots and not every bot is good player it is not good for the poker ecology and it is really good news for every player that the sites invest a lot of time and use new technologies to keep the tables fair. Americas Cardroom even publishes on the site public information on all accounts which have been closed and on the amounts which have been refunded.
