A player is out of line if he deviates from his usual style of play. Out of line can for example means that a player is on tilt or that the style of play in one hand does not match what the player is trying to represent as a hand.

If a player is out of line, plays differently than he normally would, whether in one hand or over several hands, then that is an indication – for what, always depends on the situation and the opponent.
