In the broadest sense, tilt (to tilt) refers to the state of mind of a player who is only barely able to control his game through rational decisions, but acts very emotionally. For example, if a player has suffered some big losses and is eager to make up for them as quickly as possible, by playing many hands, bidding the opponents frequently and aggressively, and playing with weak hands for big pots, then he is on tilt.
