In the return of their annual MILLIONS Online festival, PartyPoker has announced over $6,000,000 in guarantees over 15 tournaments. This year’s festival will take place throughout September, culminating in the $2 million GTD PartyPoker MILLIONS Online Main Event.

The $1,050 6-Max PKO Championships ($500,000 GTD), the $530 Super 500 PKO ($500,000 GTD), and the $109 Super 100 PKO ($300,000 GTD) are other highlights of the event. The PartyPoker MILLIONS Online has been conducted every year since 2017 — with the exception of 2020 — and is likely to draw some of the biggest and finest players in the world!

The Main Event is the pinnacle of each online poker festival, and the $2,000,000 GTD PartyPoker MILLIONS Online Main Event is no exception. The blinds start at 2,500/5,000 with a 625 ante and players begin with 1,000,000 chips. Levels are 20 minutes long, and those that register at the last minute will still have 25 large blinds. Day 1 of the Main Event has six flights, with Day 2 taking place on Monday, September 26. Day 2 concludes with a final table of nine. The nine players will return the next day to play down to a winner on the PartyPoker Twitch feed.

The buy-in is set as $3,200. PartyPoker, as in previous seasons, is once again providing qualifying opportunities for players of all bankroll levels. Main Event satellites start at a single cent, with centrolls leading to a $3.30 feeder satellite. Players who advance can compete in the $22 Phase 1 event, followed by the $109 Phase 2. These qualifiers then advance to the weekly Satellite Final, where there is no direct buy-in and just 10 Main Event places are available. Satellite Finals will be held every Sunday till September 25. Recently, Party has revealed numerous success tales through the qualification tree. Gareth “Gaz the Hippy” Smirthwaite and Vitaly Polikarpov both advanced to

the Main Event via the centroll phase in 2021.

Here is a look at the 2022 MILLIONS Main Event Schedule:

Other 2022 MILLIONS Highlights

The $250,000 guaranteed $1,575 Opener PKO kicks off the tournament. Those with smaller bankrolls might consider the $162 Mini Opener PKO with a $100,000 guarantee.

In addition, a $320 Mini Main Event with a $500,000 guarantee runs concurrently with the Main Event. Other highlights also included the $530 Super 500, which promises a $500,000 guarantee. The $109 Super 100 is backed by a $300,000 guarantee. Both tournaments will also have PKO editions.

Even more PKO action is expected for the series’ final week. For those unfamiliar with PKOs, these are events in which a player wins only a part of a prize while eliminating another player. The remaining amount is added to the victorious player’s reward, increasing the value of bounties later in the tournament.

The $1,575 Closer PKO comes with a $300,000 guarantee, while the $162 Mini Closer comes with a $100,000 guarantee. The Grand, with a $1,050 buy-in, will be held on Sundays throughout the season, with a $150,000 guarantee.

Poker enthusiasts from all across the world may watch the series as well. All final table action will be live streamed on Twitch and YouTube via PartyPokerTV.

PartyPoker Grand Prix KO Summer Edition

If you enjoy progressive knockout events, PartyPoker is the place to be right now. Why? Because the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition festival is now underway. The Grand Prix KO Summer Edition series includes 14 numbered PKO events with big guarantees at various buy-in levels. The greatest triumph is a $109 buy-in Main Event with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Scanning the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition lobby at PartyPoker indicates that the first two events, which have now crowned their deserving champions, witnessed overlays, which appear to be continuing throughout the series. The combination of only one re-entry per flight, which is fantastic for leveling the playing field, the fact that many high stakes players are either in Barcelona for the European Poker Tour or are planning to head to the Mediterranean Poker Party, and the more recreational players taking advantage of their one time at the upcoming GUKPT Goliath festival, combined with it being the traditional vacation season for Europeans, means there is a lot of value to be had from this series.

The $33 buy-in $75,000 guaranteed Opener drew a total of 2,345 players over many flights, with 358 of those players advancing to Day 2 with a minimum cash in hand on top of whatever bounties they received along the road. All but two of the players who made it to the nine-handed final table earned four-figure payouts for their $33 investment, with Denmark’s Magnus Thomsen taking home the lion’s share of the $75,000 prize. Thomsen overcame Piotr Drgas heads-up to win $8,313 and leave the runner-up with a $6,474 consolation prize.

Here are the final results:

Place Player Country Bounties Prize Total Prize
1 Magnus Thomsen Denmark $3,741 $4,572 $8,313
2 Piotr Drgas United Kingdom $1,912 $4,562 $6,474
3 Romain Champy United Kingdom $392 $2,937 $3,329
4 Vedat Cekic Germany $898 $1,930 $2,828
5 Rui Goncalves Malta $130 $1,305 $1,435
6 Yue Wang Ireland $467 $991 $1,458
7 Georgi Mitev Bulgaria $426 $716 $1,142
8 Andras Frederiksberg Faroe Islands $379 $576 $946
9 Eduardo Franke Brazil $307 $442 $749

Oleksii Kotliar of Ukraine was the final man remaining out of a field of 3,572 in the $3.30 buy-in $15,000 guaranteed Mini Opener. Because of the large field size, PartyPoker increased the prize pool by over $5,000 to ensure the guarantee was met. While this is obviously bad news for PartyPoker, it is fantastic news for anybody who has made it to the money tables.

The tournament’s sole four-figure reward went to Kotliar and Guillermo Chena, whom the Ukrainian defeated heads-up. Runner-up Chena took home $1,164, while Kotliar added $1,551 to his PartyPoker balance, providing him plenty of firepower for the rest of the PKO-centric event.

Here are the final results:

Place Player Country Bounties Prize Total Prize
1 Oleksii Kotliar Ukraine $430 $1,121 $1,551
2 Guillermo Chena Argentina $48 $1,116 $1,164
3 Bruno Pombo Ireland $125 $715 $840
4 Indy Maes Belgium $44 $469 $513
5 Premysl Specil Czech Republic $96 $316 $412
6 Khachatur Chnavayan Georgia $179 $234 $413
7 Georgios Balasis Greece $26 $170 $196
8 Thoir Denikaev Uzbekistan $15 $136 $151
9 Dmitry Semiryak Ukraine $29 $105 $134

On August 18, the final flights for the $215 buy-in $200,000 guaranteed 6-Max Championship and the $22 buy-in $75,000 guaranteed Mini 6-Max Championship took place, as did Day 2. The former required an additional 183 players to buy in over the last three Day 1s, while the latter required an additional 759 players from the four remaining flights to meet the events’ lofty guarantees.

Here is the full Grand Prix KO Summer Edition Schedule:

Dates Event Buy-In Guarantee

The Grand Prix KO Summer Edition Main Events are huge, with the $109 edition guaranteeing at least $500,000 in prize money and the $11 Mini Main Event guaranteeing $100,000.

There are still a few dozen Day 1s available for both the Main Event and the Mini Main Event. These Day 1s will run numerous times every day until August 29, when the competitions will conclude.

On Day 1, players sit behind a big stack of 100,000 chips and play blinds that begin at 400/800/100a. The blinds in the $109 Main Event grow every eight minutes and in the $11 Mini Main Event every seven minutes. Up until the conclusion of the tenth level, each flight may re-enter once, and play ends when just 15% of the field remains. The top 15% of players advance to the August 29th Day 2 with a guaranteed minimum payout.

The Main Event and Mini Main Event follow a best stack forward philosophy, which means you can fire numerous shots even if you make it to Day 2. Not satisfied with your Day 2 stack? Try again and see if you can improve matters.

If you wish to play in the festival’s higher buy-in events for under $10, you should consider playing some of the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition SPINS. These SPINS award either cash or tournament tickets to Grand Prix KO tournaments ranging from $33 to the $320 High Roller.

Multiplier 1st Place Prize Frequency in 1M Games
2 $20 cash 653,442

Of course, there are plenty of classic satellites to dig into as well. For example, satellites for the $109 Main Event start at $0.01, with $2.20 and $16.50 alternatives also available. Consider converting $0.01 into a chance to win a share of $500,000!
