Players will have plenty of time to “warm-up” before the multi-day Main Event since PokerKing will be hosting more than 500 events at all different levels of buy-ins during the MoMoMo PKO Series. There is also the chance to qualify for The Venom PKO via satellites. Currently, satellites are running Sundays and guarantee at least 20 tickets for $2650 Main Event.
The very first Sunday satellite to The Venom took place on September 7. The $90+$5 entry fee tourney drew nearly 700 entries and 23 players have earned their way to the Main Event.
As a part of the WPN poker network PokerKing has already proven itself as an experienced host for major online poker events. Just last month in August, the Main Event of the OSS (Online Super Series) broke the $7 million guarantee and finished with a $9.68 million prize pool. The winner of the tournament played under the screen name TRT-Vitor and took home $1.37M after a heads-up deal.
“PokerKing will need 2,000 entries to collect the $5,000,000 guaranteed in The Venom PKO”
With the rising popularity of PKO tourneys, there is no doubt that The Venom PKO tourney will have plenty of players and quite possibly smash through its guarantee as well. Such a large prize pool means that the closer players get to final table, tens of thousands of dollars in prize money will be on the line with players having to consider both ICM and the knockout bounties on each of their late game decisions.
The MoMoMo PKO series kicks off on September 9th – What to play?
While the full MoMoMo tournament schedule has not been released, taking a look a the schedule released so far can give us an idea of what regular poker grinders will face.
Since the WPN is a US facing network, many of the games will take place in the overnight hours for European players. Taking a look at kick-off day, September 9, MoMoMo PKO hosted 14 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $3.30 to $1050, although for now, mid-stakes players looking for a buy-in between $30 and $100 will have the smallest selection available as the series seems more weighted to low and high limit players.

Key points to keep in mind when playing PokerKing’s MoMoMo PKO Series
Most important would be to review the schedule and plan around it. Since the series was designed for American players, the biggest guarantee tournaments tend to be around 23:00 UTC and will run much later. So if you are looking to join one of these events and are playing out of Europe, you will need a good day’s sleep.
All events will be held with unlimited re-entry. While not directly stated in the promotional material for the series, this is typical of WPN tournaments and reviewing those showing in the lobby already seems that the trend will continue.
Each Sunday at 22:00 during the series, there will be a $1 million prize pool tournament. Plenty of satellites will be running in advance of this so it’s a great idea to qualify via this route instead of having to buy in directly for $630. The cheapest satellites to this tournament cost only $16.50 and $19.80.
