It was recently announced that WPT Asia Online will be kicking off this Friday, November 12th on PokerKing. The flagship poker room of the Winning Poker Network is going to host a massive tournament with a ¥15 million ($2,300,000) guaranteed and will span over 15 different events. Of course, the main highlight of this tournament is going to be the Main Event with a ¥10 million ($1,500,000) guarantee.

The WPT Asia on PokerKing returns after the WPT World Online Championship on partypoker, which saw some hefty prizes. For example, Rok Gostisa took down David Peters in an exciting heads-up play to win the $5,300 Main Event for $959,493. The Super High Roller Championship with a $25,000 buy-in was won by Ole Schemion and awarded him $388,708. Read on for the full WPT Asia schedule.

WPT Asia Mini Main Event and Main Event

The Mini Main Event and the Main Event are the definite highlights of the upcoming WPT Asia tournament. The Mini Main Event is going to kick off on November 14th and will have two starting flights. Day 1a and Day 1b will go on until there is 25% of the field remaining. It will resume with Day 2 on November 16th, which will be its final day. The Mini Main Event has a guarantee of ¥1,000,000 ($156,500). This puts it in second place as the highest guarantee of the series together with Event 2: NLHE (¥1m GTD) and Event 15: The Closer (¥1m GTD). However, you might want to focus on the Mini Main Event, as it offers a prize pool of the same size while having a cheaper buy-in ($86).

Once the Mini Main Event is concluded on November 16th, the Main Event is going to take over. The Main Event is going to have a $344 buy-in and will feature seven different starting flights. Day 1e and Day 1g are going to take place in a turbo format. Similar to the Mini Main Event, the starting flights mentioned will wrap up once 25% of the total playing field is remaining. The Main Event is going to continue on November 21st and will go on until the final table is formed. After that, the finalists will resume their battle on November 22nd, which will be live-streamed in English and Mandarin. On top of that, you can also get a special bounty reward if you manage to knock out one of the PokerKing ambassadors such as Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Daniel Dvoress, Lynn Gilmartin, Steve Aoki, and Patrik Antonius during the Main Event.
