The venue welcoming players will be the Playground Poker Club, home to Canada’s largest poker events. Boasting over 70 tables, with some of the best trained dealers and floor staff in the industry, Playground Poker Club prides itself on being ‘for players, by players’, and regularly hosts Canada’s largest poker tournaments.

Phil Sabbah, CMO at Playground Poker Club added: “Playground’s players – and poker players across Canada – have always expressed a great love for the WSOP, and bringing these two iconic brands together is a sure-fire win for all. The World Series of Poker has earned its unique position in the poker world, and we’re thrilled to be working with them on what is certain to be a poker series for the ages.”

In addition to the full tournament schedule partypoker LIVE is running a special promotion for the first 250 players who buy into the WSOP-C Playground Main Event using partypoker LIVE $ (pp LIVE $). Each qualifying player will automatically be seated in an exclusive last longer tournament, with the winner receiving $50,000 CAD cash on top of any tournament winnings.

Speaking on the back of his 31st year cashing at the WSOP, Mike Sexton, partypoker Chairman, enthused: “If you’re looking for an incredible poker experience with tremendous value, here’s some great news: for the first time ever, the WSOP-C is heading to the premiere poker room in Canada, the Playground Poker Club. The festival runs from August 23– September 3, with the highlight being a $1k (+$100) CAD buy-in with a $2m guaranteed prize pool! Yes, that’s $2m! Wow! Magnifique! And the best part is you can win your entry on partypoker.com. Check it out.”
