8-Game Mix Poker

Mixed poker games are becoming popular by the day. This is believed to have taken effect due to the introduction of the $50,000 Championship HORSE event in the World Series. The 8-Game Mix gives one the chance to play a range of poker games similar to HORSE. These poker games are Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, Limit Hold’em, Limit Omaha Eight or Better (Hi/Lo), razz, Limit Seven Card Stud, Limit Stud Eight or Better (Hi/Lo), No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.

The Game Play

The 8-Game Mix is played by six players and the game will move from one poker game to the other after six hands or after each level of a tournament. the first six hands will be of 2-7 Triple Draw and will be followed by Limit Hold’em for the next six hands and this will continue to Pot Limit Omaha. After the last hand on Pot Limit Omaha the cycle will go back to 2-7 Triple Draw. You need not memorize the cycle followed on the 8-game mix since the game in session will be displayed at the top of the window and the number of hands played in the session will also be displayed.

The 8-Game mix is different from other mixed games like HORSE since this one includes a round of Pot Limit and No Limit Hold’em sessions. The blinds and antes will get low to make sure that the stakes remain consistent.
