The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced a landmark partnership with the Solana Foundation, making Solana the official Presenting Sponsor of both the 2026 WSOP and WSOP Paradise.
As part of the collaboration, players can now purchase tournament entries using Solana through MoonPay’s payment infrastructure. This marks the first time in WSOP history that tournament tickets can be bought directly with cryptocurrency. According to the announcement, the new payment option comes with zero processing fees.
The partnership will expand further at WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas this December, where eligible tournament winners will be able to receive payouts in Solana-based stablecoins, allowing for faster and more seamless international settlements.
WSOP stated that the move is designed to simplify payments for players around the world while improving accessibility for international participants. Solana’s fast transaction speeds and low costs were highlighted as key advantages for the poker community.
Beyond payments, the agreement also includes Solana-sponsored poker ambassadors, exclusive hospitality events during the WSOP festival, and future collaborations on blockchain-powered poker products.
The partnership represents one of the most significant integrations of cryptocurrency technology into live tournament poker to date, bringing together two communities known for innovation, strategy, and global participation.
