The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced the addition of a prestigious Ladies Championship to the 2026 WSOP Europe schedule, marking a significant expansion of the festival as it heads to Prague for the first time.
The new €1,000 buy-in event will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Hilton Prague and will be open exclusively to female players. The winner will earn a specially designed WSOP gold bracelet created uniquely for Ladies Events, featuring a custom setting and additional gemstones that distinguish it from standard WSOP bracelets.
The announcement underscores WSOP’s continued efforts to promote inclusivity and provide elite competitive platforms for women on poker’s biggest stages. The Ladies Championship is expected to be a centerpiece of the 2026 WSOP Europe festival, which is highlighted by the historic €10 million guaranteed WSOP Europe Main Event.
“As we enter a new era for WSOP Europe in Prague, it was essential that our schedule reflected the full spectrum of the poker community,” said WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart. “The Ladies Championship is always one of the most spirited and competitive events in Las Vegas, and we’re excited to bring that same prestige and energy to Europe. Our goal is for this to become the definitive Ladies Event on the continent.”
Global Field Already Taking Shape
Interest in the inaugural WSOP Europe Ladies Championship has been strong, with several high-profile players already confirmed to compete. UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Mackenzie Dern was the first to register for the event, signaling broad crossover appeal beyond the poker world.
She will be joined by a number of elite international poker professionals, including Leo Margets (Spain), Vanessa Kade (Canada), Kitty Kuo (Taiwan), Xuan Liu (Canada), Shiina Okamoto (Japan), Cecile Ticherfatine (France), and Kasey Lyn Mills (USA).
Prominent poker content creators Ashley Frank and Abby Merk have also confirmed their participation, alongside GGTeam member Andrijana “Lijapoker” Gligoric. WSOP officials indicated that additional player announcements will be made through the organization’s official social media channels in the coming weeks.
